Beaches with red sand

The soil of Rabida Island in the Galapagos is red due to the oxidation of the lava, although some scientists claim that it is due to dead corals. It is located in the Galapagos, completely uninhabited but the island is worth visiting for its enormous natural and animal beauty. In addition, it is a perfect place to practice snorkeling .

However, there are some other beautiful red sand beaches in the world. They are not many, but they all stand out for their beauty. The next two photos are from Kaihalulu Beach in Maui, Hawaii. The red color comes from the erosion of the mountain, which is rich in iron, which gives it that peculiar color.
