Cuba, a country to the rhythm of ‘cha-cha-chá’

The Republic of Cuba is a country in America , settled in an archipelago in the Caribbean Sea. To the north are the United States and the Bahamas , to the west Mexico , to the south the Cayman Islands and Jamaica and to the southeast Haiti , in the west of the island of Hispaniola, shared with the Dominican Republic.

Cuba is undoubtedly one of the calmest countries in the world. Under that tranquility, we can find a spectacular living nature that emanates from every corner that we visit. The beaches are the biggest claim for any tourist.

What better than to enjoy the ‘cha-cha-chá’ while you smoke a Havana cigar under a palm tree. That’s what many of those who return from Cuba must think with smiles from ear to ear. Cuba is a country that leaves a mark on everyone who visits it, not only because of its people and its beauty, but also because of how cheap it is to spend a vacation there.

What to visit?

In the City of Havana we can find a great variety of museums, theaters and festivals, as well as a mixture of architectural styles.
Havana In Matanzas we can delight ourselves with its white sand beaches and crystal clear water that will make us come out of the most wrinkled of the water. In addition, it is also ideal for practicing all kinds of water sports.
On the Isla de la Juventud we will be able to see beautiful sea beds, cave number one in Punta del Este and Bibijagua beach, with black sand, where Fidel Castro spent his days as a revolutionary prisoner.

What can’t you miss?

Mojito The cuisine is highly appreciated by everyone who visits Cuba. It is based on roast pork, beans, banana, and rice.
We can recommend the sweet potato, a delicious sweet paste. Dishes like "Moors and Christians" and "Malanga" are also worthwhile, the latter somewhat rare for those who are not used to it.

The outstanding drinks par excellence are the famous Cuban rum and guarapo (made from the juice of squeezed sugar cane).
Cuban beer is very good, from the lightest (Cristal) to the strongest (Hatuey). Among the liquors , the guayavita del pinar stands out , based on guava. Nor should we forget the mojito (national cocktail that can be seen in the image) or the Cuba Libre.

Finally, you cannot leave Cuba without trying a Cuban cigar . We recommend that you buy them in hotels, where they are cheaper than in factories. Buying them on the street is risking buying poor quality cigars. The most recognized brand is Cohiba , the name by which the Taino Indians called tobacco.
