Of the seven French national parks, the Parc de Cévennes is the largest. Located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in southern France , it illustrates the richness and diversity of a protected region. The river Tarn, which runs along the slopes of Mont Lozère, has formed a deep and spectacular gorge over the ages, where the practice of extreme sports has become one of the main attractions of the place. Canoe or kayak descents, caving , climbing or canyoning will satisfy the expectations of the most adventurous, as the canyon has the ideal conditions for practicing these sports.

On a journey of extraordinary beauty , through one of the least populated areas of France, hikers will also find fascinating routes. Its landscape characteristics allow different routes to be carried out: on foot through the gorges or rowing down the river.

Sainte Enimie . Medieval city with cobbled streets, located in the center of the gorge that has a beautiful 12th century church. In its surroundings are the Castle of Prades, the town of Castelbouc and Igloos de Causse de Sauveterre, built in stone.

Florac . Located in the Cévennes National Park, at the entrance to the Gorges du Tarn, where you can visit the old castle of Florac and the spring du Pêcher.

Alès . Full of history and industrial tourism. It has the Pierre André Benoit art museum, the mines and their geological collections of the Alès school of mines, as well as the theater festival in July.

Le Rozier . Starting point towards the Gorges de la Jonte, it has a Romanesque church from the 12th century and is a protected area for vultures in the wild.

Anduze . Among its attractions is the steam train tour through the Cévennes Park, the music museum that collects more than 1200 instruments from around the world or the Trabuc grotto, among others.
