During these days one of the most important film festivals in the world is being held: Cannes Film Festival . But during the year other festivals are held that if you decide to go see them they will allow you to travel all over the world. These are some of the most important:
Venice festival
The oldest and possibly the most elegant film festival. This year the 66th edition will take place and once again the channels will be filled with ships loaded with celebrities.
Date : from September 2 to 12.
Berlin Festival
The Berlinale is known for its great showcase of films, some of which are more alternative than those you can find in Venice or Cannes. Next year is its 60th anniversary.
Date : February 11 to 21.
Sundance
In this festival the protagonist is independent cinema. Sundance is held in the Utah desert, and above all attracts the world’s top talent scouts to search for actors and directors with a very promising future.

Marrakech Festival
This young festival will celebrate its ninth edition this year. What makes it more interesting is where some of the screenings take place. These take place in the ruins of the Palace of the Medina.

London
Despite being a small event with only about 390 screenings compared to 1000 in Cannes, the BFI has been able to become one of the most important festivals. The full program for this year will be made public on September 9.
