We always talk about the Red Light District in Amsterdam , but aren’t there more neighborhoods like this in the world? Well the answer is yes, and today we are going to talk about some of the most important.

The Reeperbahn, Hamburg

It is the epicenter of Hamburg’s nightlife and there, in addition to theaters, you will find sex shops, prostitutes, clubs, bars and discos. Grosse Freiheit (Great Freedom) street is the only street where Catholics can practice their religion in front of the Protestant majority of the inhabitants of Hamburg. There is the Catholic Church of San José, surrounded by clubs and prostitutes.

Pigalle, Paris

Paris is not only the city of love, it is also the city where the visitor heading to the Pigalle neighborhood will find eroticism and something else in every corner. There are no windows in brothels here. Artists such as Picasso, Van Gogh and Maurice Neumont all lived here for some time here and Henri Toulouse-Lautrec had his studio here. The most visited site in the neighborhood is the Musée de l’Érotisme (Museum of Eroticism), near the Moulin Rouge, open until 2 in the morning.

Kings Cross, Sydney

It’s a 24-hour attraction, where adult bookstores, topless waitresses, nightclubs, and prostitutes exist alongside the city’s trendiest cafes and restaurants. Traditionally Kings Cross was the home of artists, the haven of "deviants", criminals and bohemians, that is, there is a fascinating wealth in this neighborhood worth exploring.

Other red neighborhoods that you can visit are: Kabukicho in Tokyo and Patpong in Bangkok.
