Previously, visitors to Los Cabos were primarily local fishermen and tourists from Southern California and the West Coast. But at present there are even direct flights from the United States which allows there to be a greater influx of tourists. Non-stop Los Cabos is approximately 2 hours from San Diego and 2 and a half hours from Los Angeles .

When you get there and go to your hotel remember that in exchange for a small deposit they will leave you to take to the beach : towels, coolers and umbrellas. In the same hotel you can ask to rent a car to be able to move more easily throughout the area. Head east from San José del Cabo by car. It reaches the corner of Boulevard Mijares and Calle Benito Juárez, the paved street turns into a dirt road that leads to the small fishing villages of La Playa and La Playita , approximately 1.5 km (0.5 miles) from Saint Joseph.

From La Playita , head about 60 km (37 miles) to the other part of the coast where the Cabo Pulmo ecological reserve is located. Here you will also find the largest coral reefs in the area. The depth of the water ranges between 15 and 130 feet, and the colors of the marine animals that live among the reefs will catch your attention.

When you are hungry, take a walk to the beach of Cabo Pulmo where you will find some places to eat good fresh fish accompanied by a good ice cold beer. Try to return to La Playa in the afternoon to avoid driving through the Eastern Cape , as this is a dirt road best avoided at night .
