The tallest hotel in the world, has already opened its doors. This hotel is located in Hong Kong and from it guests can enjoy unparalleled panoramic views of Victoria Harbor. Rising some 1,600 feet (490 meters) above the bustling and chaotic streets of the southern Chinese city, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel once again became a landmark in the hotel world after temporarily closing its doors in 2008.
Hervé Humler, President and Chief Operating Officer of the hotel chain, explained at a press conference that reopening the doors of such an emblematic hotel that took about 10 years to build is very important to them. The company is aware that there is a possibility that the hotel may lose the title of being the highest in the world. Surely, this loss will occur in 2014 when the J-Hotel is inaugurated, which will measure many more meters. 
The Ritz-Carlton in Hong Kong is also one of the most luxurious hotels in the city. The price of a room night is currently HK $ 6,000 (about € 500). A night in the presidential suite amounts to HK $ 100,000. Inside the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, there is a chic and modern atmosphere both in the restaurants and in the different rooms where tourists can rest. 
It is characterized by a truly bright decoration and chandeliers on all sides. Guests can find an on-site swimming pool on the top floor that has different LCD televisions with which swimmers can entertain themselves while enjoying the warmth of the hot water. The hotel consists of a total of 312 rooms , and has one of the largest ballrooms in the city with a total of 930 square meters.
