Below is a brief list of some of the most impressive temples in all of Asia that are worth visiting:
Angkor Wat – Built in Cambodia, this is the largest temple created in history. Well known above all for having inspired numerous novels and films. You can appreciate its beauty in the photo at the beginning of this article.
Monastery of the Tiger’s Nest : practically hanging from a precipice is this spectacular Monastery. One of the holiest places in the country of Bhutan.
Schwedagon Pagoda : there is a great unknown about when this pagoda located in Myanmar was built, whose dome is completely covered with gold.
Prambanan : a Hindu temple located in Java. This Indonesian temple has many beautiful portraits on its walls about some of the stories contained in the Ramayana (a sacred text not directly revealed by God and written by Valkimi).
Chion-in Temple: Japanese temple of which the beauty of its majesty and its great size stand out. It has the largest bell in all of Japan with a weight of 74 tons.
Borobudur : these are wonderful ruins located in the Javanese jungle. A huge complex in which there are hundreds of Buddha statues, as can be seen in the image above.
Temple of Heaven : Taoist temple in Beijing, whose shape is circular and each of its levels represents a stadium on Earth.
Golden Temple : temple decorated with marble statues and covered with precious stones and gold. It is located in Punjab, in India.
Wat Rong Khun : a strange white-structured temple located in Chiang Rai, in Thailand. The most impressive thing about this temple is that it is ornamented with mosaic-shaped mirrors in such a way that they seem to shine magically.
Srirangam Vishnu Temple : It is the largest religious construction in all of India, occupying about 63 hectares with walls that reach 4 kilometers. It is located in the Hindu city of Tiruchirapalli.
