The new Sofitel hotels around the world

Accord , owned by Sofitel, will end 2010 tripling hotel openings in exotic locations around the world, as the company itself explained a few days ago. The five-star brand is going to make openings in Austria, Mauritius and Cambodia this week, including a new ship in Europe, specifically in Vienna. The new Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom is housed in a futuristic 18-story glass and steel building and displays art by Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist.

Also noteworthy is the wall in the garden made by the landscape architect Patrick Blanc. With 182 rooms, the hotel also offers guests a restaurant run by French chef Antoine Westermann who has some Michelin stars or others. The views from the restaurant over the Austrian capital are truly beautiful.

The hotel chain has also opened another hotel on Mauritius Island that is distributed over 4 hectares of land and is located 520 meters from the beach. Designed by Thai architect Lek Bunnag and Japanese fashion designer Kenzo Takada , Sofitel So Mauritius promises guests that purity, nature and simplicity come first. In addition to the 90 suites and villas with private gardens, patios and ponds, that are part of the complex also has a spa, two restaurants and a bar overlooking the Indian Ocean .

Finally, the brand plans to open all 201 rooms at the Sofitel Phokeethra Phnom Penh these days. In the facilities you can enjoy a large spa , two swimming pools, a sports complex and a tennis club.
