Travel to Bucharest

Travel-to-bucharest
Bucharest is, after Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, the second cheapest European capital, so in these times where money is scarce than ever it is undoubtedly one of the best places to visit. To give you an approximate idea, with what it costs you a day in London or Paris, you would spend 3 days in Bucharest. It is clear that it is not one of the great destinations dreamed of by any tourist, but it is a great unknown that has many things to contribute and that those who visit Bucharest are very satisfied with everything they have been able to find there.

One of the must- see places to visit in Bucharest is the Palace of the Parliament, which is the seat of the Romanian government and was built during the communist era. It is the second largest administrative building in the world, second only to the United States Pentagon. From there you can go to the Arc de Triomphe , clearly inspired by the one you can see in Paris since almost all the monuments, houses and buildings that were built in the Romanian capital before the communist era have a clear French mark, that is why it is known to Bucharest as the Paris of the East .

Another very nice building to visit is the Athenaeum , in the Lipscani neighborhood, a great European heritage and headquarters of the city’s philharmonic orchestra, so if you are going to be there, try to go to a concert because it will be an unforgettable experience. In the surroundings you can visit the historic city center, where you can find a lot of antique shops and several bars and restaurants that make this neighborhood the best to enjoy the nightlife in Bucharest . If you have time, stop by the Romanian Peasant Museum , it will only take a couple of hours, and by Curtea Veche, the ruins of the ancient palace of Dracula himself.
