Why travel thousands of kilometers in search of paradisiacal beaches with the Balearic Islands so close? Its sandy beaches have nothing to envy those of the Caribbean, although palm trees and coconuts are missed. Turquoise waters, fine sand, a good atmosphere … They have everything to catch the tourist, and that is why every summer they receive the visit of hundreds of thousands of people who return home with a very good taste in their mouths.
If you are going to spend a few days in the Balearic Islands and you have set yourself the goal of bathing in some of its best beaches , I recommend that you take note of the ones I mention below, since all of them are spectacular.
Cala Presili (Menorca)
They will always tell you to go to Macarella and Macarelleta, which are two incredible coves. However, I think you should also let yourself be seen by Cala Presili, which is also known as Capifort. It is in the north of Menorca and still maintains the virgin beach label. Unlike what happens with other beaches in that area of the island, its waters are calm and the sand is fine and white. It is one of the best nudist beaches in Menorca (not all the beach is nudist).
Caló des Mort (Formentera)
It is very small, yes, but I assure you it impresses. It is a corner that says a lot about Formentera’s maritime past, but that actually looks more like a pool than a beach . The azure blue color of its waters invites you to take a dip in an environment worth photographing from various angles. It will be difficult for you to place the towel and the umbrella on what is the shore itself, but you will not have so much problem if you are one of those who are content to be lying on a more or less flat and soft rock.
Caló des Moro (Mallorca)
Mallorca tends to fall a step behind when it comes to talking about beautiful beaches in the Balearic Islands, but it would be unfair not to include a single beach on this list. Caló des Moro, without going any further, is a real treat for the view from above or on the beach. If you want to bathe, you will have to go down a stone and rock staircase that is not accessible to everyone. Of course, the reward is well worth the effort, since its waters are among the most turquoise on the island. The only problem? That if you are not one of those who get up early you will not have a chance to put the towel in the summer months.
Cala d’Hort (Ibiza)
Ibiza is synonymous with partying, but there are also many other things to do on the white island. A good example? Go to beaches like Cala d’Hort, which, with the islets of Es Vedrá and Es Vedranell in the distance, hypnotize you during your bathing day. In addition, there are days when the wind blows enough to justify some surfers in the area approaching with their boards.
Ses Illetes (Formentera)
Recognized as one of the best beaches in the world , it could not be left out of this compilation. It is the greatest treasure of Formentera, a sandy area located in the Ses Salines natural park that owes its name to the islets and reefs that we find in front of its waters. Normal that has been declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco .
