In Mexico there are a lot of interesting places that are worth visiting, especially natural places since it is a country that is full of them. Today I would like to highlight the Desierto de los Leones National Park , one of the great attractions of the Federal District area thanks to its extensive and varied flora and fauna. A magical place full of adventures, mysteries and corners to discover.
It has an area of almost 1,900 hectares , which are divided into several very interesting environments and whose protagonists are various trees and animals. The biodiversity of the Desierto de los Leones is truly spectacular, and its pine forest is the most important and beautiful in the entire country. There, excursions and various activities are organized to enjoy a good time outdoors.
The park
In this national park, which by the way has nothing to do with lions other than the name, you will find a very calm, natural and relaxing environment. You will see an area with several caves that house exhibitions of false feline animals, simulating their natural habitat. It has quite a few springs that are a real joy to behold, and sitting in front of them for a while is a unique experience.
His story
It was one of the first national parks in the country, becoming a symbol for several decades. As soon as you enter the park you find a monastery that was built by the Order of the Discalced Carmelites, and that can be visited almost in its entirety. In addition to being a spectacular building, being surrounded by nature makes it even much more special. In short, the Desierto de los Leones National Park is a fantastic place to "lose yourself" for a few hours, whether with family, friends, as a couple or alone.
