Lufthansa has officially unveiled its new grand hall at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York . The facility spans nearly 16,000 square meters , roughly twice the size of the company’s previous lounge, and has three levels, each dedicated to different passenger “segments”.
The new facilities are located just behind the airport terminal 1 security zone.
First class
The new facilities allow users after having the exquisite dinner that they serve, to take a relaxing shower .
Menu options include a large buffet and even à la carte dishes. Afterwards, travelers can have one of their delicious desserts; chocolate mousse and juicy apple pie . The drink selection includes a wide selection of international premium wines.
Senator Lounge
Located on the second level , it has beautiful parquet floors and a staffed bar area offering a large assortment of local drinks as well as German wines and beers. The capacity of this hall has almost doubled and now offers seating for 124 travelers . Shower service is also available.
Business Class Lounge
It is located on the main floor. The spacious new area has capacity for 171 passengers , about 75 percent more than the original room. The room features modern décor elements such as leather seats and designer counters. The services also include an entertainment area with four LCD televisions and seating for 18 users , a work table with leather seats that are integrated into the wall.
A luxury available to very few.
