Lake Peyto is a lake of almost perfect glacial origin, one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, it is located in Banff National Park, in the Rocky Mountains of Canada . It has a practically implausible turquoise color , the result of water erosion on the rocks, which give off particles with a brilliant hue.
If you are lucky enough to be able to visit Lake Peyto, you will contemplate an incomparable , idyllic and wonderful place. Located at an altitude of about 1880 meters, a length of 2.8 km. and a width close to 800 meters, with a total area of 5.3 square km.
It is accessed from a natural viewpoint that is located on the lake from the Icefields Parkway , Highway 93, also known as the "Highway of the ice fields." Next to the viewpoint there is a place to park cars and from there take a path for hikers with places prepared for camping.
