For example, today we want to talk to you about Galicia , an autonomous community that offers impressive landscapes, exquisite gastronomy, history and culture. Combarro
We want to start by talking about Combarro, an original and picturesque enclave located about six kilometers from Pontevedra. Built on granite next to the sea, this town is located in a privileged location and preserves an urban structure and an architectural style typical of the 18th and 19th centuries. You will be surprised by its historical set.
Allariz
Another of the towns that cannot be missed on this list is Allariz, located about 11 kilometers from Ourense. You will love its old town, its landscapes, its churches, the atmosphere of the streets and, of course, its gastronomic offer. Also, do not forget the Arnoia River, which offers beautiful views. On the other hand, we want to highlight that Allariz received the European Urban Planning Award for the project to recover its historic center.
Cambados
We also want to tell you about Cambados, a beautiful villa located in the Rías Baixas de Pontevedra. Cradle of the Alvariño , this fishing village will enchant you both for its gastronomy and for its environment and culture. The next town on our list is Tui, an enclave located on the banks of the river Miño that preserves a beautiful old town in the highest area. As you can see for yourself in the image, the cathedral stands out, which looks more like a fortress. The view from the tower is beautiful.
Mondonedo
Mondoñedo is located on the Camino de Santiago, in the province of Lugo, and has an important history behind it. In fact, it must be taken into account that it was the capital of the Kingdom of Galicia . Its cathedral, the episcopal palace, the beach of Spain and its palaces, the San Pablo hospital and the Fuente Vella stand out, among many other interesting places.
Walls
We could not forget Muros, a coastal town located 71 kilometers from Santiago de Compostela. It stands out, how could it be otherwise, its old town, which has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest . If you have the opportunity to visit this enclave, you will not be able to miss its squares and alleys and the sailor arcades.
Ribadavia
We also want to tell you about Ribadavia, the former seat of the Kingdom of Galicia. This town of Ourense is closely linked to wine and the Hebrew people. In fact, the Jewish quarter of this town is the most important in Galicia.
Or Cebreiro
Finally, we want to tell you about O Cebreiro, a small village located on the French way of the Jacobean route. It is surprising for the set of stone houses with a thatched roof that, curiously, were inhabited until recently.
