Biosphere Reserves in Asturias

In total there are 5 natural spaces declared a Biosphere Reserve , so you have a lot to choose from. The Somiedo Natural Park is one of the main ones, with almost 300 square kilometers full of peaks, depressions, meadows, mountains or pastures in which there are many ranchers working. Also worth visiting is the Redes Natural Park, in the councils of Sobrescobio and Caso. The Fuentes del Narcea, Degaña and Ibias Natural Park has in its interior the spectacular Integral Natural Reserve of the Muniellos Forest, which is the largest oak grove in our country. The most famous is undoubtedly the Picos de Europa National Park, which has, among other things of interest, the Sanctuary of Covadonga.
