If when choosing a destination for your vacation you like strong emotions and that they become an adventure, I bring you a few European destinations where you can get everything you are looking for:

By bike from Saint Petersburg to Venice : Yes, it seems crazy, but if you are a bicycle lover you will be passionate about this proposal. The so-called "Amber Route" has a length of 3,122 kilometers and goes from Saint Petersburg to Venice. In it you will travel the ancient amber trade route through the Baltic countries and through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria and Slovenia to reach your final destination: the wonderful Venice. It goes without saying that you must be a regular cyclist to be able to do it, but if you are, it seems to me that it is an exciting journey. The company Tour de Africa by bike (previously dedicated to the African continent and now more expanded) organizes groups in July and August and for about € 6,000 you will have accommodation and food for the entire duration of the route.

Hiking in snow in Sicily : In recent years it has become very popular to go hiking with snowshoes on Mount Etna, the highest volcano in Europe. You do not need previous experience in this type of hiking, but it is recommended that your fitness is at least medium. On this wonderful tour you will see the Piano Provenzano forest, cross ancient lava rivers and reach the necessary altitude to see the Ionian Sea. It is organized by the company Explore between the months of November to March and costs about € 800 (includes accommodation, meals and guided visits).

Mountaineering on the Mont Blanc route (France): On this route you will circumnavigate the highest peak in Europe through countries such as Switzerland, Italy and France. You will stay in cabins and cross spectacular lakes and glaciers. The state of form to be able to do it has to be quite good. It is organized by the company Utracks and you can do it between June and August for a price of around € 600 and that includes accommodation, meals and all the maps you need. It lasts a week.

Hiking in the Lleyn Peninsula (Wales): Wales is one of the most spectacular countries for hiking, especially the coastal route that goes from Caernarfon to Porthmadog and which is about 150 kilometers long. Here you can discover the wild wastes of Bwlch Mawr, the Iron Age fort of Tre’r Ceiri and the cliffs of Porth Oer. They are organized by the Edge of Wales Walk company throughout the year.
