A few days ago we told you some curiosities about Hamburg . Today we want to talk to you about some of its most important tourist attractions. Remember that Hamburg is the greenest city in Germany. 14% of the city is made up of green spaces such as parks, nature reserve areas and gardens. For this reason, you should consider making more than one visit to these green areas.

What makes Hamburg unique is the lack of skyscrapers . Buildings with more than 10 stories cannot be found anywhere. To maintain the beauty of the surroundings around the Alster Lake, there is an essential rule that the buildings that surround it must be white and with copper roofs. The city offers visitors more than 31 theaters, 50 museums, 6 concert halls and 10 cabarets.

The lake Alster Lake is one of the most beautiful and picturesque places that Hamburg has to offer to tourists . It is a tributary of the Elbe River. Boat trips and cruises along the Alster canals make it wonderful to visit the whole city. During the summer the lake is flooded with sailing boats, however, winter is the best time to visit the lake as it is frozen and allows you to skate on it.

Another place is the Altona Fish Market . Anything is for sale here. This colorful, crowded market began in 1703, and takes place every Sunday from 5:30 am to 9 am. Another tourist attraction is Blankenese , an area known as a place to get away for a weekend.
