The Island of Baru is one of those paradises that we should all see at least once in our lives. It is in Colombia and it is a spectacular place that is just a few hours from Cartagena de Indias, one of the best known cities in the country. From Cartagena de Indias you can take the coastal road and, skirting it all and about 40 kilometers, reach the Island of Baru, more specifically the place where you will have to take the ferry to get to the island, although if you prefer you can rent a private yacht to make the transfer and at the same time enjoy its waters bathed with tropical fish and countless corals. In Baru there are several native towns, such as Ararca , Santa Ana and BarĂş, which is what gives the island its name.
