Waterton Lakes National Park was formed in 1895. This park is open to tourists throughout the year, however the best time to visit is between July and August. Another site to visit is Jasper National Park . It extends over an area of 10,878 square kilometers and is characterized by the rugged mountains, valleys, forests, ancient glaciers and alpine meadows, which are part of it. Sunshine Meadow is another great natural garden. It is located at an altitude of 2,300 m. The area is perfect for hiking. This can be started from the Sunshine Village ski area.
