The most complete excursion to Washington DC from New York

Washington-DC
Are you going on vacation to New York ? Lucky! It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, one of those places that you have to visit at least once in your life. Also, do not forget that you can take advantage of the trip to visit other nearby cities such as the capital of the United States, Washington DC

If you want to know the White House or be surprised by the National Air and Space Museum, I recommend you hire the excursion that I am talking about in this article, since you will see emblematic buildings and you will know things that will leave you with your mouth open. I tell you from experience.

Itinerary

It all started at 6:00 am , when we were picked up at one of the meeting points located near Times Square. At 08:30 am we arrived in the state of Delaware, where a 30-minute stop for breakfast was scheduled, which was very good for us to gather strength and share opinions before resuming the march.

With a full belly and a lot of expectation, we arrived in Washington DC at around 10:00 am. From the first thing we were able to observe is the famous Pentagon, which is the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, one of the safest places on the planet.

The first stop, however, took place at Arlington Cemetery , which is where the remains of the Kennedy family and soldiers who died in combat rest. Then we passed by the Iwo Jima Monument, a fantastic sculpture that was shaped taking as a reference the photograph ‘Raising the Flag of Iwo Jima’. We loved it.

The tour continues past the state of Virginia to reach the National Mall , a spectacular outdoor area that houses the Lincoln Memorial, the reflecting pool, the Korean War Memorial and the Vietnam War Memorial.

How could it be otherwise, the tour also passes through the Federal Reserve and the Obelisk , which as you surely already know was built to honor George Washington, who was the first president of the United States.

The international Red Cross and the OAS (Organization of American States) are other points that we met before arriving at the pristine White House , where not only could we be photographed as many times as we wanted, but they also provided us with very curious information that still I remember and share with my friends.

Washington-DC
The next stop took us to the center of Washington DC, where we could soak up the architecture of the place, while we could see the Ford’s Theater (simply beautiful), the main headquarters of the FBI, the National Gallery of Art … The last stop is the National Air and Space Museum of the United States, which is where you will find the largest collection of airplanes and spacecraft in the world.

The day flew by. At 04:30 pm the itinerary ended and we returned to New York with a 20 minute break at 07:30 pm. Arrival time in Times Square is estimated to be 09:30 pm, a perfect time to enjoy the billboards going full blast.
