It is known as the Venice of the East for its extensive canal system and offers tourists the possibility of visiting hundreds of markets, tasting its culinary specialties and visiting its many temples.

We also want to talk about Chiang Mai, the largest city in northern Thailand, as well as being one of the most modern . Of course, it also stands out for its nature (it is located between some of the highest mountains in the country) and for its cultural importance.

Chiang rai

Another important city in Thailand is Chiang Rai, which is also one of the largest in the north of the country. It is surprising for its incredible landscape , being able to glimpse impressive hills. In addition, you should know that it has many cultural attractions, highlighting its carved images of Buddha.

Although, in reality, it is a province, we could not forget about Krabi, since it is an area of exceptional natural beauty , in addition to being one of the main tourist destinations in the country. It is located on the shores of the Andaman Sea and amazes with its limestone hills.

Another province that we want to highlight is Phuket, considered the largest island in the country, as well as being the epicenter of mass tourism. And it is here that you will find the resorts with the best value for money. Without a doubt, its main attraction is its coastline, full of paradisiacal beaches.

On the east coast of the Gulf of Siam we find Pattaya, a city that is in an intense zone of port industrialization . On the other hand, you should know that it is also a commercial center, of foreign investment and very touristy thanks to its beaches and its lively nightlife.

Of course, we must also talk about Sukhothai, a small city that was the capital of the first Thai kingdom, although the current city is located 12 kilometers from the historical city, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Another important city is Ayutthaya. Specifically, we want to highlight the ruins of the ancient capital, which today are part of the Ayutthaya Historical Park, recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

In the west of Thailand we find Kanchanaburi, a very popular city for tourists. Due to its location (on the edge of a mountain range), temperatures are lower than in other areas of the country. The bridge over the River Kwai stands out, representing the importance that the area had during the Second World War.

Hua Hin District

Finally, we want to talk about Hua Hin District, one of the eight districts of Prachuap Khiri Khan province. It is one of the main beach resorts in the Gulf of Thailand.
