We are talking about an international contest and inspired by the list of the Seven Wonders of the World of antiquity, most of which no longer exist. The selection was carried out through a vote among citizens from all over the world by means of email to choose seven wonders for free, although you could also pay two dollars to obtain a certificate of voting for a candidate or vote by calling a number telephone payment.
The chosen Seven New Wonders of the World, in order of appearance, were unveiled at the La Luz Stadium in Lisbon, Portugal on July 7, 2007.
The 7 new wonders of the world
1.- Great wall of China , China (between the Yellow River and the Bohai Sea). 
2.- City of Petra , Jordan.
3.- Christ the Redeemer , Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
4.- Machu Picchu , Cusco, Peru.
5.- Temple of Kukulcán in Chichen Itzá (Yucatán, Mexico).
6.- Colosseum , Rome, Italy.
7.- Taj Mahal , Agra, India.
