Great Barrier Reef
The Whitsunday Islands, which are located 936 kilometers from Brisbane, in the state of Queensnald , are made up of 74 islands that, as we have mentioned before, are surrounded by the Australian Great Barrier Reef (Great Barrier Rief), considered to be the largest coral reef on the planet. Therefore, it is not surprising that they were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It has more than 2,000 kilometers of extension and, as you can imagine, it is an ideal place to practice snorkeling or diving.

Located on Whitsunday Island, it is the most important attraction of the islands, something that is not surprising, since we are talking about a 7-kilometer-long beach consisting only of fine white sand, crystal clear waters of a beautiful turquoise blue color and a lush forest that acts as a backdrop. A curiosity is that its sand does not burn thanks to its mineral composition.
