What to see in Castellón

What-to-see-in-Castellón
Now that summer is coming, many people plan their vacations, many of them on the Spanish coasts, so today I will tell you about Castellón de la Plana , a beautiful Mediterranean city that occupies 112 kilometers of coastline, which they call Costa Azahar . It is a beautiful combination of sea and mountains, where the impressive mountain range of Desert de les Palmas is located. The main sector that works in Castellón is tourism, and it has impressive beaches that every year attract the attention of thousands of tourists.

The best thing about Castellón is that you have many places to visit while taking a walk, and many of its streets are full of orange trees and open to the sea. In the old town you will find beautiful alleys and places like the Plaza de Santa Clara or the Plaza Mayor. Perhaps the most modern part of the city is Avenida Rey Don Jaime, which houses the most modern buildings and shops. Ribalta Park is also a very important area where you will find beautiful walks and where the inhabitants of Castellón spend part of their leisure time. One of the busiest places in Castellón is the Plaza de la Paz, next to the Principal Theater.

A must-see is also the Palacio de Sant Miquel , which is between the Lonja and the Plaza Mayor, the Town Hall and El Fadri , which is a spectacular bell tower 58 meters high, it is the symbol of the city and is among the Cathedral and the Abbey House. Of its religious buildings, which are also very important, I would highlight the Co-Cathedral of Santa Maria de la Asunción and the Convent of the Capuchinas , which also houses works by Zurbarán and some sculptures from the 17th and 18th centuries. Of course there are also interesting museums in Castellón, such as the Fine Arts Museum or the Museo Municipal Etnológico del Fadrell.
