Get to know the most important places in Pakistan

You already know that this is not a recommended destination but, if one day you have to travel for work reasons or you simply want to know which places are the most important in Pakistan, take note. The former capital of Pakistan and its largest city, Karachi, is located on the shores of the Arabian Sea, near the mouth of the Indus.

The capital of Sindh province is now a modern industrial city and main port of Pakistan. Although it is not strictly a tourist center, there are a number of attractions, such as the pier where the brightly colored fish attract the attention of many. Fish and seafood, one of the main sources of income in the country. There are hundreds of restaurants , tea houses and juice stalls. Boats can be hired to set sail from the port and go on an excursion.

There are architectural reminders of the former British imperial presence, especially in the clubs. The most impressive building, however, is the Mazar Quaid-e-Azam, the mausoleum of the founder of Pakistan , made of white marble with impressive North African arches and magnificent Chinese crystal chandeliers. The changing of the guard, which takes place three times a day, is the best time to visit.

Other places to visit are the National Museum, parks, the zoo and a Clifton beach. Sindh is a region known for the extraordinary quality of its light. It has two main attractions: Mohenjodaro, a settlement dating back more than 5000 years, and Thatta, with its mausoleums and mosques. There are sports facilities at Lake Haleji .
