The Costa Dorada is tremendously known not only for its beauty but also because it is home to the famous Port Aventura theme park. Throughout its coastline you can find a lot of beaches and coves in which to enjoy your holidays, although you can also go sightseeing in a lot of municipalities where you can discover many places of great interest.
Below I offer you some of the most interesting places on the Costa Dorada and in the future I will focus on each of its municipalities to be able to cover much more. Take note:
– Roman Circus of Tarragona : It is very close to the old town of Tarragona and dates back to before the 1st century, a time when you could enjoy the classic horse-drawn carriage races. It is one of the many traces that Roman history left in the city. It is between the Plaza del Rey and the Roman Amphitheater.
– Torre Vella (Salou) : It is almost five centuries old and was built to protect Salou from unwanted visits. Currently there is a great variety of art exhibitions and cultural events. It also houses the Municipal Museum of Contemporary Enamel, which has a wide collection of enamels from around the world.
– Torre de la Ermita (Cambrils) : It has been declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest thanks to how well it is preserved despite having its origins in the fourteenth century. It currently houses the History Museum of Cambrils.
– Reus Old Town : It is a very interesting place where you can stroll and stroll through one of the most beautiful open commercial areas on the Coast. There you can find a lot of typical products in food, crafts, fashion and much more.
