Walt Disney Parks and Resorts President Tom Staggs has just announced the launch date for this project: the attraction will open in 2017 at the Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort. In addition, we have been able to see the first images of what that land will be like, which fascinated us all in movie theaters.
The feeling of being in Pandora
As confirmed by Staggs, in Avatar there will be "impressive floating mountains" and you can walk through the jungle at night, among bioluminescent plants that will emit light and sound. Visitors will also be able to feel the sensation of flying in the famous Banshee, the creatures in which the Na’vi move and, in addition, themed shops, restaurants and entertainment will be included. This appears to be the first step in a vast licensing business that will bring similar attractions to Disney parks around the world.
