Known for its manufacture and distribution of Port wine , Porto (Oporto) is the second largest metropolitan area in Portugal . Porto was founded by the Romans. Today, the region is not only home to more than two million citizens, it also has the great honor of being considered a World Heritage Site . Church of San Francisco . The name of one of the patron saints of the area. The church of San Francisco was built in the year 1200 . Visitors can admire the church’s Romanesque and Gothic styles, as well as its wooden interior.

Palace of the Stock Exchange . Built in 1841 , the palace and cathedral are the exceptional showcase of the city’s architecture. There you will find the statue of Infante Henrique. This commemorative statue shows us the image of Henrique the Navigator who was prince of Portugal between 1300 and 1400.
