Until the 1990s, the general perception of Cambodia was that of a nation devastated by war. However, in the last 15-20 years, this country has made rapid progress economically. Tourism is the second largest source of income for Cambodia, after the textile industry. Its picturesque beaches, ancient temples and impressive nature have made this whole country one of the hotspots for tourists from South Asia .

The interesting and fun activities of Cambodia are grouped into the different regions that tourists can visit. Different parts of this beautiful country have something unique to offer. Beaches and national parks attract many tourists. Take note of some of the regions that you should not miss and what you can do in each of them:

– Kratie
The spotted dolphin activity is one of the main tourist attractions for all those who visit the Kratie province. The Mekong River is north of Kratie and is home to the freshwater dolphins of the Irrawaddy River.

– Sihanoukville
This Cambodian province is located 115 miles southwest of Phnom Penh (the capital). It takes about 3 hours from Phnom Penh to get to Sihanoukville. There are many interesting and fun things to do in Sihanoukville. The beaches offer a lot of activities to tourists such as diving, snorkeling, cycling routes, etc. Ream National Park is a good place for nature lovers.
