The fauna is also worthy of attention. The mountain goat is one of its main attractions, and perhaps the most striking, along with birds, mammals and amphibians, not forgetting reptiles.
Route
It is a landscape that can be enjoyed through various routes or trails with varying difficulty. One of the simplest, and also considered the most beautiful, is the one that starts from Capileira and runs through the Poqueira refuge area to make a stop before reaching the top.
It is a route, of more than 20 kilometers, that runs next to a water channel and, when you reach the destination, you have traveled an area that has a drop of 4,000 meters . From this height, there are impressive views , which well compensate for the effort made.
