Sports tourism in Tenerife

Tenerife is one of the fantastic Canary Islands, a fantastic place to spend your holidays in a relaxed way, enjoying the sun and good weather almost all year round. Although it must also be said that Tenerife is much more than sun and beach since there are many things you can do on the island and that have nothing to do with lying on a deck chair to catch a tan.

Today I would like to focus on sports tourism , currently very fashionable and with which you will take advantage of your rest days to practice those sports that the rest of the year you probably do not have time or that you have to depend on several things to be able to go to do them. I give you a list of the sports that you can practice in Tenerife :

Golf : In the southern part of the island you have several places to practice this sport, many of them belonging to a hotel complex, so you can have it all in one.

Hiking : The northern part of the island is perfect for this, especially near the Teide, so you can practice it and also reach the highest peak in Spain, from which you also have spectacular views of both Tenerife and the rest of islands.

Skydiving : If adrenaline surges are your thing, you can dare with this, at Tenerife North Airport there is a club that is dedicated to organizing this type of activity.
Paragliding : Many people practice it on the island because thanks to the wind and the mountains it becomes the ideal place. The best places to go paragliding are Los Patos, Montaña de Guaza, Izaña Sur, Las Gaviotas, La Corona or Izaña Norte.
