You can start your long walk by discovering Collyer Quay and Clifford Pier , where most Asian settlers and immigrants set foot on the island. Leaving Clifford Pier you can walk to the pier towards the Singapore River until you reach the Fullerton Hotel . On the left side of the area where the hotel is located you will find the old iron bridge called Cavenagh .

If you decide to walk along the south bank of the river, you will find a large pedestrian street lined with restaurants and bars. After having a drink and resting for a while, you can continue your walk heading towards North Boat Quay . There you will find the headquarters of the emblematic Museum of Asian Civilizations . A little further along the pier is the statue of Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles. Turn right on St. Andrew’s Road until you reach the Old House of Parliament. You’ll also find Singapore’s oldest government building, and the impressive Victoria Memorial Hall , built in 1905 as a tribute to Queen Victoria.
