A little while ago I wrote an article about what have been the most important mountain destinations in the year that is about to end, and now I would like to write about the beaches that have been classified as the best in our country in 2012. Although now Whether it is cold season, surely in a couple of months you will start preparing your vacation for next year, so it will be good for you.
In our country there are hundreds of spectacular beaches with different characteristics, ideal for long days of rest and relaxation in the sun but also with lots of fun and perfect for practicing various water sports. Our beaches are so impressive that more than 500 have achieved the precious blue flag in 2012. Take note of some of the best:
Ses Illetes Beach
It is in Formentera, in the Natural Park of Las Salinas , a spectacular white sandy area that contrasts wonderfully with the blue waters of the sea. A beach in an idyllic natural setting.
Rhodes Beach
It is the largest and most beautiful of those in the CĂes Islands , in Galicia. It does not have many services but the natural environment in which it is located is truly spectacular.
Levante Beach
It is one of the most famous beaches in Benidorm and during the summer it is always crowded. It has more than 6 kilometers of golden sand, with very calm waters and all kinds of services. There are children’s areas with games for the little ones and many water sports that can be practiced, as well as bars, discos, restaurants and a lot of entertainment offers.
Cala Macarella
It is in Menorca and it is a paradisiacal cove that is worth visiting at least once in your life. It is surrounded by pine forests and cliffs. There is an anchoring area and its waters are very calm.
La Concha Beach
This beach in San Sebastián is one of the most famous in the city, with an incredible landscape between the Urgull and Igeldo mountains and being in the middle of the city. A beautiful bay and a promenade with all kinds of businesses so that you do not miss anything.
Beach of the Cathedrals
For me it is the best beach in our country, or at least the most spectacular. It is in Lugo and when the tide is low you can see the rock formations that intermingle with the sea and the sand. A true wonder to behold. Before going it is recommended to find out about the tides since if it is high it is not worth going.
