The best countries in the world to live

Norway
Normally, at Vuela Viajes we focus on giving you advice and proposing destinations for your trips and getaways. However, today we are going to do something a little different: we are going to recommend countries to live in. Yes! Yes! As you are reading it! And it is that, browsing the Internet, we have discovered a study that we found extremely interesting.

We are referring to the Prosperity Index produced by the UK Legatum Institute taking into account factors such as the economy, governance, education, health, safety, entrepreneurship, personal freedom and social capital. As is usual in this type of rankings, the countries that have fared the best are the Nordic countries, while Spain is ranked 24th out of a list of 142 countries. Therefore, it does not fall within the top 10 that we are going to show you below. Would you like to join us?

Norway

Norway1
According to the Legatum Institute’s Prosperity Index, the best country in the world to live in is Norway. In fact, it is the seventh year that this Nordic corner manages to be at the top of the list and it does so thanks to its prosperity . In addition, you have to take into account its wonderful landscapes and the Northern Lights.

Switzerland

Switzerland
The second place on the list is occupied by Switzerland, which, beyond its beautiful landscapes and being considered a tax haven , offers a perfect harmony between work and personal life, something that all human beings wish to find.

Denmark

Denmark
In third position we find another Nordic country. In this case, it is Denmark, a country envied for its landscapes , its wealth and its efficiency. Here you will find a modern and balanced society with a stable economy and social justice.

New Zealand

New Zealand
From northern Europe we moved to New Zealand, which ranks fourth in the ranking. Moving to this distant country of Oceania can be a very risky bet, but the truth is that here you will find a multicultural and very tolerant society, as well as security, political stability, economic progress, social peace and, most importantly, democracy.

Sweden

Sweden
We return to Europe, of course, to tell you about another Nordic country. In this case it is Sweden, recognized, among other things, for its educational level and its universities. In addition, one of the great advantages of this place is that it works fewer hours than in other corners of the world.

Canada

Canada
We change continents to locate ourselves in Canada, where 250 thousand people arrive each year who intend to become residents. They are attracted by its road infrastructure , its educational and technological level, social security and, of course, its economy.

Australia

Australia
We return to Oceania to tell you about Australia, which is in seventh place in the ranking. It is one of the countries with the lowest density levels per square kilometer on the planet. Among its advantages are its exuberant nature , its developed economy, its cultural diversity and its strong democratic values.

Holland

Holland
In Europe we find the eighth country on the list. It is about Holland, a very touristy country but also an ideal place to live. And it is that it is one of the largest economies in the world.

Finland

Finland
In ninth position we find Finland, a country with a rather harsh climate , especially if it is used to the heat, but which can boast of being one of the most prosperous economies in Europe, especially in terms of services and manufacturing.

Ireland

Ireland
Closing the top 10 we find Ireland, an island full of charming places that are worth discovering. One of the great advantages of this country is its labor flexibility , being easy both to find a job and to change companies.
