The most beautiful beach in Spain

Spain has the privilege of being the country with the most Blue Flag beaches. That speaks very well of the quality of the waters that are in our coasts, so it is not difficult to find sandy areas in which to enjoy a fantastic day of sun and beach.

The most beautiful of all, in our humble opinion, is the Ses Illetes beach. It is in Formentera and it has all the ingredients that I personally value when it comes to feeling more or less at ease.

Less than half a kilometer you never want to leave behind

Its 450 meters of fine white sand fill up in July and August, something that is not surprising if we consider that it is famous worldwide . It usually appears in the top positions of the main European rankings, which is why many articles have already been written in which its charm is defined.

It is on the north coast of the island, at the point called Es Trucadors. It belongs to the parish of Sant Ferran de Ses Roques (it is one of the three on the island) and is part of the Ses Salines Natural Park , a protected area since 2001.

Ses Illetes beach, whose seabed is full of posidonia meadows , is highly recommended for scuba diving and snorkelling. All this with the respect that this little paradise deserves, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

How to get

The fact of being only 4 kilometers from La Savina, which is where the port of Formentera is, makes getting there by public transport very easy. You can go by bus and you can even get there by boat, although you can also opt for an even more ecological option taking advantage of the route that there is: the bicycle .

Highly recommended for families with children

One of the things that I like the most about Ses Illetes has to do with the more than 50 meters that must be covered in the water so that it begins to cover. That makes it perfect for children and to play a summer classic like shovels.
