Today at Vuela Viajes we want you to know a little more about this Catalan province and, for this, we are going to tell you about some of its most beautiful towns. Would you like to join us? We assure you that you will not regret it!

Guimerà

Guimera
First of all, we are going to talk about Guimerá, a beautiful town that stands out especially for its medieval nucleus, made up of a set of labyrinthine stone streets that lead to the church of Santa Maria or the Tower. You will find arches, decks, elevated steps and stairs that are very well preserved.

Boi

Boi
We continue our journey through the most beautiful villages of Lleida in Boí, a municipality located in the famous Vall de Boí. As in the previous case, the town preserves an old town of spectacular beauty and of important historical value. Its medieval-looking cobbled streets, its stone houses, the bridge or the church of Sant Joan are some of its charms.

Taüll

Taull1
Very close to Boí is Taüll, a town that preserves two impressive Romanesque churches : Santa Maria and Sant Climent. The latter is one of the emblems of the entire region.

Durro

Durro
Also very close to the previous towns is Durro, which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful towns in the Alta Ribagorça region. With a permanent population of about 70 inhabitants, this municipality will enchant you for its stone houses with wooden balconies and iron bars, and its cobbled streets. In addition, here are two monuments declared World Heritage by UNESCO : the Nativitat church and the Sant Quiric hermitage. They are part of the set of Romanesque churches in the Vall de Boí.

Os de Civís

Os de Civis
The next town on our list is Os de Civís, which is actually a district belonging to Les Valls de Valira. Curiously, this place can only be accessed through Andorra , first crossing the border and then taking a detour in Sant Julià de Loria. In fact, the town depends a lot on Andorra. Of course, the visit to this enclave is worth it.

Vielha

Vielha
Another place that could not be missing from the list is Vielha, considered the capital of the Vall d’Aran. Surrounded by peaks that exceed 2,000 meters in height, the town preserves some old buildings, such as the fortified Tower of Santesmasses or the parish church of Sant Miquèu. In addition, it must be taken into account that the town offers a large number of tourist services , such as excursions, sport fishing, adventure sports …

Canejan

Canejan
We also want to tell you about Canejan, a town located near two rivers, the Toran and the Garonne. Located in the Vall d’Aran, this town offers wonderful views of the valley. One of the peculiarities of this place is the Auet de Canejan, a tree that has been listed as a monument by the Generalitat. If you have the opportunity to visit this place, you should not miss the Pelarica viewpoint, the Sant Senilh church and the Creus path.

Barruera

Barruera
Knowing that we have left many beautiful towns in the pipeline, we are going to end our list with Barruera, which is located in the Vall de Boí. As you may have imagined, here we also find a Romanesque church declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In addition, a hand-mowing contest and a livestock fair are held here, two well-known events.
