The most special Christmas destinations

Christmas-post
Christmas is just around the corner and we are all preparing for one of the most special moments of the year. It will be a different Christmas, there is no doubt. The pandemic in which we have been immersed since the beginning of 2020 has altered our lives; from work (which we now do, if possible, from home) to social relationships, through travel. Everything that has happened to us in 2020 has been conditioned by the new coronavirus pandemic and Christmas will not be the exception.

It will be the Christmas of the pandemic, but does anyone doubt that we will enjoy the holidays equally? We still do not know the measures that each autonomous community will impose to try to limit infections, although everything seems to indicate that we will be able to move between the different autonomous communities. However, you must bear in mind that the recommendations we make here are subject to the measures and limits imposed by the health authorities , such as confinements, time limits or capacity limitations.

Recommended cities

The cities have already been decorated to receive Christmas and from here we want to recommend some visits that are always worthwhile , but, above all, in these designated holidays. Here are some of the reasons to visit four especially beautiful cities at Christmas.

Madrid, the capital : Madrid is an ideal and common destination at Christmas because it has it all. The charm of its streets decorated for the occasion, shows specially created for these dates and a commercial offer that has no comparison. If, in addition, some snowflakes fall, the picture is already drawn in full and we can enjoy a perfect Christmas.

Paris, the charm of the classic : outside of Spain we opted for the French capital. A fantastic ice rink is installed in the Trocadero that will delight skating fans. In addition, it is common for neighborhoods to install carousels, with that special charm that almost everything Parisian has. The La Defense market is the largest of all, but the one on Place de la Concorde is also worthwhile, where a fabulous Ferris wheel is usually installed. Do not forget to stop by Galeries Lafayette to admire the spectacle of its windows. As if all this were not enough, Eurodisney is very close, so you can crown your stay in the capital with an unforgettable trip for children in this impressive theme park.

Barcelona, Mediterranean airs : if you go to Barcelona, you cannot miss the Santa LlĂşcia Christmas market. It is the oldest in the city; it is over two hundred years old. In addition to the typical decorations, there you can also find Uncle, a Christmas figure typical of Catalonia from whom the little ones can ask for their gifts . Don’t forget that Barcelona is a city that overlooks the sea and that offers you the possibility of contemplating its majestic Christmas tree at Moll de la Fusta, in the port.

Malaga, the ascendant : the Andalusian city is a destination that has grown a lot in recent years . It offers culture (Pompidou Center, Picasso Museum, Russian Museum Collection …), a fabulous climate (an average of 17 degrees maximum and 9 minimum), great gastronomy and Calle Larios, in the heart of the city, adorned with a dazzling light show.
