A friend has just arrived from a trip to Croatia and when he told me everything he had seen, a museum caught my attention, which is undoubtedly one of the most curious that I have seen or heard of. It is the Museum of Finished Relationships , which everyone popularly calls the Museum of the Broken Heart. It is in Zagreb and it is an amazing place where there are many objects that represent finished love relationships.
All that the museum houses are objects donated by people who have ended their relationships, and instead of throwing away objects that remind him of his ex, they prefer to donate them so that they become part of the museum. A small museum with three rooms where you can find sex toys , clothes, jewelry, decorative objects and even weapons such as axes. Each object is accompanied by its own story, so it is very interesting.
Curious objects
Among the many things that there are, of course there is no lack of a wedding dress , without a doubt one of the most striking since ending your relationship when you already have the dress purchased is one of the most painful breakups you can suffer. There are also garden gnomes and even several strands of hair. All the objects reflect the personal relationships that any person can have, always with the dramatic touch that the end of them supposes.
The Museum of the Broken Heart is in the Kulmer Palace , in the upper part of Zagreb. Between June and September it opens every day from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., while from October to May it also opens every day at 9 a.m. but closes at 9 p.m. It only closes on Christmas, New Years and All Saints’ Day. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve it closes at 3pm.
