The six best beaches in Croatia

Zlatni Rat1
Croatia is the destination of fashion and the truth is that it does not surprise us, since the country not only offers 1,779 kilometers of coastline and 1,244 islands, but also hides a rich historical and cultural heritage and many popular traditions that are worth knowing. Of course, we have to admit that what we like the most about this place are its natural corners, especially its coastline which, bathed by the Adriatic Sea , presents sapphire-colored waters, wonderful hidden coves and picturesque and beautiful fishing villages.

Today at Vuela Viajes we move to this corner of Europe to introduce you to 6 of its best beaches. Of course, we want to apologize in advance for all that we have left in the pipeline. But it is hard to choose just a few! Would you like to join us?

Zlatni Rat Beach

Zlatni Rat
How could it be otherwise, we must start by talking about Zlatni Rat, considered by many to be the most beautiful beach in all of Croatia. Located on the south coast of the island of Brac, on the Dalmatian coast, it is a narrow beach formed by white stones that changes depending on the tides, wind and currents. Due to the transparency of its waters, it is an ideal place to snorkel . In addition, on the beach you will find a beach bar. Of course, we warn you that the prices are quite high.

Punta Rata Beach

Rat Point
From the island of Brac we move to Brela, one of the most tourist destinations in Croatia, since here is the Punta Rata beach, which offers turquoise and crystalline waters and subtropical vegetation. For many, it is one of the best beaches on the planet, something that does not surprise us at all. It is important to keep in mind that, although it is pebbled, the entrance to the sea is sandy, so it is ideal for children. In addition, you should know that nearby you will find both bars and restaurants as well as places where you can rent equipment for water sports.

Banje Beach

Banje
Banje beach is undoubtedly one of the most famous in Croatia. Of black sand and gravel, this beautiful corner is located in Dubrovnik, right next to the walls that surround the old town. The best thing about this place is that it offers wonderful views of both the island of Lokrum and the old port of the city. In addition, its waters are crystal clear and very calm.

Rajska Beach

Rajska
The Rajska beach, which is located on the island of Rab, about 15 kilometers from the homonymous town, could not be missing from the list. It is a sandy area about two kilometers long that offers fine sand, wonderful crystalline waters and a backdrop made up of green pine trees that offer shade and protection. Also, you should know that it is perfect for children, since its waters are shallow.

Stiniva Beach

Stiniva
We also want to tell you about Stiniva beach, a cove hidden between the rocks in the south of the island of Vis. It offers a natural, wild and paradisiacal landscape although, like most beaches in Croatia, it is a pebble beach. In addition, you should know that thanks to the fact that it is surrounded by rocks up to 35 meters high, you will be able to find shade at almost any time of the day. On the other hand, we want to comment that there are two ways to get to the beach: by boat or through a narrow path.

Beaches of Proizd

Proizd
Finally, we want to talk about the beaches of Proizd, a small island located next to the island of Korcula. In this wonderful place you will find hidden coves and white beaches, all of them with crystal clear turquoise waters. The three beaches known as Bili Boci stand out. To get here you will have to take a boat trip that lasts half an hour.
