This is what has happened to us with Manacor , a beautiful city that is in the Balearic Islands but that not many people knew existed until Rafa Nadal arrived, the tennis player who has broken almost all the records of his sport. On the island of Mallorca, Manacor is undoubtedly a fantastic destination, especially during the summer holidays.

It is located about 50 kilometers east of the city of Palma de Mallorca and is perfect both to be there on vacation or to go on an excursion from anywhere on the island. Manacor is a charming city that has many interesting places to visit and very interesting things to do. Like almost any city, its old town is wonderful, and there you can see several interesting things. Known as Ses Dames, the center of Manacor lets you see places like the Church of the Mare de Deu dels Dolors, which has a spectacular 80-meter-high tower.

There are many historical monuments that are worth visiting, such as the Church of Santo Domingo, the Church of San Vicente Ferrer or the Torre de Ses Puntes, which is currently an exhibition hall. Highlight the Old Royal Palace , which formerly served as home to King Jaime and which today is a spectacular bar where you can have a drink in a unique medieval environment. Plaza Sa Bassa is the most famous in Manacor, a square with a lot of history and with many historical buildings that are worth seeing.

The average annual temperature in Manacor is 17ÂşC, and during the summer months it is usually around 30. The Hams Caves are spectacular, which are on the outskirts and are a true natural wonder. If you like the beach, there are several coves in the municipality of Manacor where you can spend a good day of rest.
