Typical European foods

If you are about to take a trip abroad, it is possible that one of the things that will make you most excited is trying the typical dishes of the place. If we move to Germany , the first thing that comes to mind are sausages and beer. Strolling through Italy we are going to taste pastas, pizzas and sausages. There are also rich meats and vegetables because they are its basic ingredients. At the same time they serve cow cheeses filled with mozzarella and butter. They make cold cuts such as raw ham (Prosciutto de Parma), pork zampone, salami and mortadella. The best known desserts are ice creams and especially tiramisu. For lovers of ristretto coffee, it is a perfect place because they make it very concentrated and with a strong flavor.

If we move around Spain , we will discover that olive oil is frequently used, along with all the typical ingredients of the Mediterranean diet. They have a great variety of fruits, vegetables and fish. They cook stews with legumes (lentils, chickpeas, beans), and rice in the famous paellas. It is well known for its Iberian ham, which has a unique flavor. Regarding desserts, it is characterized by its nougat, creams and ice cream. It has good wines: Jerez, Catalan cava, Rioja wine, anise and fruit liqueurs.

A visit to the Netherlands (Holland) would be ideal to start with a very varied breakfast in which hot chocolate, which is usually accompanied by cream, coffees, teas and fruit juices. Meals are usually light, so you can buy sandwiches, sweet or savory crepes and all kinds of snacks. Dinner is early and a little more succulent. They use a great variety of rice, poultry and smoked fish. Cheeses are also very well known.

To know France is to come into contact with a very refined and exquisite cuisine. Its main products are cheeses, tomatoes, butter, mushrooms, fine herbs, pork. We recommend you try the Ratatouille, a dish made from vegetables sautéed in olive oil. And don’t forget to taste the wide variety of cheeses (Camembert, Brie, Roquefort, Reblochon, Boursin, among others) and wines. They have good chickens, veal, lamb, turkey, and sausage.
