Visit Arcos de la Frontera

Visit-Arcos-de-la-Frontera
In the last weeks I have told you several things about various Spanish places for you to visit on your holidays or to be your destination in them. Today I am going to continue there and I am going to go to Andalusia , at least virtually. Arcos de la Frontera is a municipality that is about 30 kilometers from Jerez de la Frontera and that is an authentic gem, a typical Andalusian white town. A fantastic place that has a lot to contribute to your trip.

Among the most important places to visit in Arcos de la Frontera are the Palacio del Conde del Águila (a marvel of Mudejar Gothic style built between the 15th and 16th centuries and which is on the Cuesta de Belén) or the Castillo de Arcos , a construction of military character that is in the highest point of the town, without a doubt a spectacular place to take pictures with the whole town at your feet. Fully recommended, especially if you like to enjoy the great landscapes.

Other very interesting places, both of a religious nature, are the Parish Church of Santa María de la Asunción (also of Mudejar origin and built between the 14th and 16th centuries) and the Church of San Pedro, from the 14th century and built on the remains of an Arab fortress. You also have walls, mills and a lot of monuments that reflect the footprint that the Muslims left in the city.

In addition, in Arcos de la Frontera you have many things to do. In the main square you have a lot of bars, restaurants and terraces where you can try the most typical products of the place and relax after a day wandering around. There is usually a lot of traffic there but it is worth going as there are also many shops of all kinds, so you will not get bored.
