TSA agents examined 638,705,790 passengers in 2013 (more than 1.7 million per day), and found 1,828 firearms, 16.5 percent more than in 2012 (then 1,556). But the organization gives even more data: 81 percent of those weapons were loaded and one in three had a bullet in the chamber ready to fire.

The list of dangerous objects is overwhelming. Remember that in the United States, passengers can carry their weapons as long as they are in the luggage that will go in the hold of the plane and they are declared. However, those who intend to sneak their weapons onto the plane still manage. For example, knives have been found hidden inside cell phones, in canes or combs on the sole of the shoe, and pepper spray hidden in lipstick.
