What to see in Huelva

Huelva-1
Huelva is one of the most beautiful cities that I have visited in our country, being also in a perfect situation to know other places like Portugal or Seville. It is the capital of the province of the same name and has about 150,000 inhabitants. The Guadiana and the Guadalquivir are the great rivers that belong to the province, but there are many more that are worth seeing up close.

A city in which you have a great mix of places of interest, so the trip will be worth it whether you go one day or several. Here is a small guide with the most interesting things you can see in Huelva.

Religious buildings

Huelva-2
I would like to stand out from everything a little. On the one hand, the Cathedral of La Merced , which has a Renaissance façade. It is also worth visiting the Church of San Pedro, which is in the Mudejar style of Seville and is listed as a Site of Cultural Interest. Also beautiful is the Ermita de la Soledad, very important in the history of the city and which currently houses a Brotherhood.

Museums

Huelva-Provincial-Museum
The most important is the Provincial Museum of Huelva , which has a large archaeological collection with important treasures. Also worth visiting is the Open Air Museum, which is in the Zafra Park and there are more than 30 sculptures scattered throughout the park.

Natural environment

Huelva-Las-Marismas-de-Odiel
It is truly spectacular, especially the Marismas del Odiel Natural Park , the most important marsh complex in our country and one of the most productive in Europe. It houses many very interesting species of birds, especially migratory ones. The Moret Park is also very interesting, a natural treasure of great beauty without any building on several hectares despite being in the urban center.

Beaches

Some of the most interesting are within the Doñana National Park , also a must-see. Beaches of golden sand and crystal clear waters that are not only in Huelva but you can also find many very interesting ones in the nearby coastal municipalities.
