Beaches of Gran Canaria

The Canary Islands are the perfect destination if you are looking for sun and beach, although it is also true that this is not the only thing they have and that at a cultural, historical and natural level they also have spectacular corners that you can visit. Anyway, today I would like to focus on the beaches, specifically the ones on the island of Gran Canaria , one of the three that belong to the province of Las Palmas.

In Gran Canaria you can find more than 60 kilometers of beach spread over various parts of the coast, which covers about 236 km. Great variety so that you can choose the one that best suits what you are looking for on your vacation. Here are some of the most important beaches in Gran Canaria . Take note:

Las Canteras : It is in the capital, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and it is a spectacular beach with a lot of services around you and a great promenade. You can surf on it. It is in the heart of the city and there is also next to it, in the port, a large Shopping Center with plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, cinemas and entertainment areas.

Playa del Inglés : One of the most famous and popular on the island, which reaches Maspalomas after skirting a spectacular dune desert that covers almost the entire southern coast of the island. It is a paradise for the eyes and the ideal place to spend your days off.

– If you want a very quiet and more familiar beach, you can go to San Agustín beach , Amadores beach or a little one in Puerto de Mogán.

– Throughout the southern part of the island of Gran Canaria you can find a lot of small beaches and coves in which during most of the year you have the sun and good weather guaranteed.
