One of the most spectacular natural areas in the world is Machu Picchu , which is in fact one of the 7 Wonders of the World , a recognition that it deserves. It was declared a World Heritage Site in 1983 and a Wonder of the World in 2007, so it is one of the places you have to visit at least once in your life.

Its name comes from Quechua and means "old mountain". To be able to get to Machu Picchu you can do it in 2 different ways, so take note and do not miss one of the most spectacular excursions you can do in your life:

Train : it is probably the most comfortable option to get to this wonder. The trip lasts almost 4 hours, it can be 20 minutes less depending on the type of train but it will never last more than 4.

On foot : ideal if you like trekking as it is one of the most amazing experiences you can live. The route can last between 2 and 5 days, depending on where you start it, but always following the so-called Inca Trail. It is the best option to go to Machu Picchu since it is the way in which you will best enjoy the landscape and the immense beauty it has.

Among the many things that you will find on the way or already in Machu Picchu, highlight the Casa del Inca , the temples, the solar observatory or the Casa del Guardián. It is highly recommended to make a stop in the town of Aguascalientes, it is beautiful and everyone who visits it is delighted.
