How to get to Madrid-Barajas airport by public transport

One of the most comfortable options to get to Madrid-Barajas airport is the metro. In just 20 minutes, line 8 takes you from the “ Nuevos Ministerios ” stop to T4 and the other terminals without interruption from 6:05 am to 2 am with a frequency of between 5 and 15 minutes, depending on the time and day.



If you want, you can also go by train with line C1. The schedule is smaller than on the train: from 5.29 to 23.59 every 30 minutes.


On the other hand, you should bear in mind that the Express line takes you from Atocha-Renfe to the airport in 40 minutes for 5 euros 24 hours a day every 13 or 20 minutes during the day or 35 at night. Between terminals there is a free 24-hour shuttle bus that connects terminals T1, T2, T3 and T4. In addition, to move from T4 to T4 Satelite and vice versa, you can use a free automatic subway train that runs every three minutes 24 hours a day.


Finally, you have the option of the taxi. A supplement of 5.50 euros is included in the airport rate and no supplement is charged for luggage. From the center it can cost around 35 euros.
