– Anthropology National Museum
This is the national museum of Mexico. The museum exhibits pieces of the country’s history, as well as archaeological objects dating from pre-Columbian times. It also contains treasures from the Aztec, Mayan, and Olmec civilizations, and the most famous is the Stone of the Sun, also called the Aztec Calendar. The museum also shows rural life in present-day Mexico.

– National Palace
It is a government building, and tourists can tour it on an interior tour to see the beautiful murals painted by Diego Rivera, which represent the history of Mexico through the centuries. Independence Day is commemorated every year from the main balcony of the National Palace from where the president utters the Cry of Independence.

– Zocalo
Formally known as the Plaza de la Constitución, this huge public square is located in the heart of Mexico City, with most of the main attractions truly close by. Take a walk around this square and try the typical food in one of the places. Then you can enjoy the street artists. You can buy gifts for when you return but remember that you must know how to race well. In winter, the square turns into a gigantic skating rink where concerts are also given.
