Now that summer is approaching, we are all thinking about where we want to go on vacation and looking for spectacular beaches to rest for a few days. At least in my case, when summer comes I like to travel to a destination with beaches to relax in the sun, and when summer ends I like to take a trip to see a city.

One of the beach destinations that receives the most tourists every year is the Dominican Republic , so I would like to give a series of tips to travel there so that you can organize everything much better, in addition to achieving a much more comfortable and unforgettable stay. Take note of these recommendations to travel to the Dominican Republic:

Entry and exit : Spanish tourists do not need a visa to enter the country unless we are going to stay for more than 60 days. For a shorter time, it will arrive with your passport and get the tourist card once you land (it will cost you about 10 dollars). If you are going to stay for more than 30 days you will have to pay a surcharge. When you leave you will have to pay a fee of $ 20 regardless of how long you have been.

Baggage : Here you should look at the conditions that the airline with which you are going to travel puts you in this regard. Control your luggage a lot especially on the return and do not lose sight of it at any time.

Currency : The Dominican peso is the official currency, being 1 euro plus or minus 52 pesos. To pay the entrance and exit fees it is better to bring dollars. It is always better to carry the money changed from here but there you can also do it at the airport, hotels, banks and exchange houses.

Time difference : It is different depending on whether we are in summer or winter time. In the summer it is 6 hours more than there are in Spain, while in the winter it is 5.

Climate : It is fantastic throughout the year, a tropical climate with an average temperature of about 28ÂşC throughout the year. Hurricane season runs from June 1 to September 30 and is anticipated very few days in advance.

Health : There is nothing to highlight in this regard except the issue of being very careful with the sun as it is very strong and you can burn your skin. Also be very careful with heat stroke and always drink bottled water. It is recommended that you travel with medical insurance since healthcare there is private and very expensive.
